Normal: A bit unusual, but definitely normal.  If this is not your first baby, it is much more common.  Nevertheless, it's nothing to worry about.

Express: You can often manually express enough milk to allow the fore-breast/nipple to become softer &amp; easier for baby to attach/feed. You may want to find a local breast feeding coach to help you with the process. Delivery centers often retain a list of consultants.

Endocrinologist: You may want to check with an endocrinologist. There are a variety of different medications, many that are new for the treatment of prolactinomas. Also, depending on the location of the prolactinoma you may consider surgery. For example, prolactinomas of the pituitary gland are very effectively and safely treated with neurosurgery. It is something to investigate.

Accepted Answer

Very common: Breasts swelling +/- tenderness is very common around the time of menstruation and is rarely to worry about.  Swelling and bloating is usually lowest right after your period is done.

Accepted Answer

Not usually: There can be some swelling around the area where the pacemaker was placed. If it extends much beyond that area, i would discuss this with the doctor who placed the pacemaker.

Certainly, the entire breast should not be swollen.

: Did your physician agree there's a palpable lump in your axilla?  A negative ultrasound rules out significant lymph node abnormalities. The weight lifting wouldn't affect breast size but can affect the underlying pectoral muscle which can swell &amp; become painful.I assume your mammogram is ok.  I think you can be reassured about having any breast or axillary pathology if your MD didn't feel a lump.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!

Accepted Answer

Mastitis: Mastitis is almost always associated with redness and tenderness of the skin of the breast.  It may involve a small or large area of the breast.  A fever may occur.  These symptoms will persist even after breast feeding.  Treatment usually requires oral antibiotics and continued breast feeding.

Yes: Yes. The one ovary left is still producing hormone on a cycle and you could still have peri menstrual symptoms monthly

Period: If you are having a period, you would not be pregnant.  If you are more concerned about the period being heavy, see your gyn dr. For eval.  If you were not due for your period, or the period was very late with heavy bleeding, than that is a different story, and you should still see the gyn.  Best wishes.
