No: I suppose you mean intrauterine insemination.  When you have sex the ejaculate pools in the posterir vaginal vault and only a few of the sperme swim up into the uterus.  When the sperm is injected into the uterus, it isn't used to that so cramping will occur, but the little swimmers are persistent and will get through.  Good luck

Sounds normal: Could be a post ovulatory cyst, or uterine  irritability.

Maybe: The sticky discharge may be the combination of cervical fluids, IUI medium and semen together. Cramping usually occurs within 4 to 6 hours of IUI injection and not now. Back pain? Give your Fertility MD a call and see what she/he has to say about your symptoms.

What did your doc: Say the one who did your iui, u should have already asked your doc before asking here, you can get cramping , hopefully you won't get a period, if u don't then check a preg test.

My be: Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about 2-3 weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully.

Cramps: yes, due to theimplantation of the device causing irritation to the lining and then causing cramping

Irritation: There can be some irritation of the uterus after an IUI.  It depends somewhat on how the semen was processed.  Very unlikely to be an infection.  You can try Tylenol (acetaminophen) (Acetominophen) for pain.  If you develop a foul smelling discharge or fever let your doctor know.  Also, your ovaries could be swollen from fertility medications and your body interprets that as a cramping sensation.
