Not necessarily: Chest pain is a very broad symptom, and can be related to many different disorders, some serious, and others not so serious. If the reason for being on opiates is for chest pain after chest surgery or trauma like a rib fracture, than pain can be from withdrawl of opiates.
If that is not the case, you should get checked out by a specialist.

One likely solution: Sorting out the difference between  pain from a flare of lupus and prednisone withdrawal symptoms is not an uncommon dilemma for doctors.  In this case because of the confusion that you are referring to, it is more likely to be a flare of lupus, possibly triggered by the withdrawal from prednisone.  In either case the treatment is likely to be to increase the prednisone and taper more slowly.

i have hyperadrenergic pots and am in xanax (alprazolam) withdrawal. went to hospital with chest pain and they said everything looked okay. vomiting, sweating, shaking, weak, cp, resting hr 90-100, ectopics. safe?

No: You should go back to the.Emergency room asap. I don't know the dosethat you are withdrawing from. However, withdrawal can eventually cause the equivalent of alcohol dts. That means that it is possible to have a seizure or develop delirium with psychosis that can be life-threatening. Please do not drive yourself to the emergency room. If no one can take you call an ambulance. You need to slow the withdrawal down by tapering extremely slowly.

The symptoms of alcohol withdrawal can be mild (anxiety, fatigue, mood swings), moderate (increased heart rate and blood pressure, sweating, nausea and vomiting), or severe (hallucinations, confusion, seizures, irregular heartbeat). Other health problems can also worsen withdrawal symptoms. You need to contact your doctor prior to stopping alcohol or proceed to the emergency room if you start to experience withdrawal symptoms since these can be very dangerous. Alcohol withdrawal is one of the few drug withdrawals that can actually kill you, so we take it very seriously.  There are medications that can help, but they are restricted substances and should be given with careful monitoring.
