Loss of vision: Not sure if i appreciate your question.  Why has blindness occurred?  Can it be treated?  You certainly can see if one eye is unimpaired, but unilateral blindness results in loss of depth perception, and relative distance perception, besides inability to see on one side.

Not really: The only part of the eye that can be transplanted from another person is the cornea.  We do 60, 000 of those in the us each year for people who have corneal vision loss.  The whole eye cannot be transplanted.
