Try to relax : While you might expect the fetal heart rate to be higher, sometimes early us is not accurate at measuring the fhr.  Additionally, there  is nothing that you can do to change this. Try to relax and see if the fhr  speeds up at your next OB visit. Best of luck!

Potentially : Yes. You are likely to have symptoms of palpitations, shortness of breath and chest discomfort . Also if your heart rate remains elevated for long periods of time it can cause a decrease in heart function. See yoyr doctor asap.

Monitor temp:  Illness, fever and stress may elevate her heart rate. Encourage fluids and treat the post nasal drip with nasal saline. Watch for prolonged cough and fever. If these occur, please see your PCP.

: A high resting pulse usually reflects an identifiable underlying cause and merits a visit to one's Dr or to a cardiologist for a careful exam and appropriate testing.  Common causes include infections, hyperthyroidism or immediate post-exercise.  However, rarer causes might require special tests including blood tests, a urinalysis, chest X-rays and an echocardiogram.
