A deep breath: Before a blood pressure reading, one can take a slow deep breath or two, relax a moment, and imagine a calm and pleasant scene (such as sitting on the warm sand at the beach, watching the waves, listening to the birds). If numbers are over 79 diastolic (diastolic is the lower number) one's primary care doctor can evaluate. Just show the doctor one's "3 readings a day for 1 week."

So, the way i practice medicine is to say moderation in both the amount and the frequency of the alcohol you ingest is the best way to protect your health. Caffeine is also a chemical that dehydrates you.

Hard to say: Pulse rate reflects several issues.Activity level, anxiety, stress, degree of physical conditioning, the venue ,etc.Your kid may not be as well conditioned as the other kid or more stressed. Random pulse rates are hard to interpret without a better understanding of all the input factors.
