A few months: Asherman syndrome is not that common, so unless you have an unusual circumstance, try not to worry.  Please wait two months to see if your cycle returns.

It depends on : your goals, if fertility, then opening the uterine cavity with surgery and using estrogen to stimulate uterine lining regrowth, is useful.

Only hysteroscopy/US: Because the walls of the uterus are collapsed on each other and/or filled with endometrial tissue, it is unlikely that a CT/MRI scan would be able to see any scar tissue. In order to see scar tissue, the uterus has to be filled with fluid first on hysteroscopy/sonohysterogram/hysterosalpingogram.

Scarring: An adhesion is usually caused by scarring in the abdominal cavity after a surgery. This can cause issues such as pain and bowel obstruction. This can be fixed sometimes by surgical means if symptoms are severe.

Obstruction, Pain: As a general surgeon, I am called frequently to care for people whose small intestine has become twisted on itself due to adhesions from prior abdominal surgery (sbo-small bowel obstruction). My gynecology colleagues care for many patients with pelvic pain presumed to be due to adhesions to the ovaries.
