YES: Yes, assuming you mean the large intestine (colon cancer). Small intestine cancer is very rare and yes chemotherapy has been used in this setting but we have limited data. Also it's important to note that not all bowel cancers require chemotherapy.  The oncologist will help you decide on best option.
