Puberty: changes the bacteria in your vagina. It is quite normal to have a slight sent. If it is pungent or very strong - then see a doctor about it. Also, over the counter supplement could help - its called Acidophillus Probiotic.  1/2 tab vaginally 3 times a week for 2 weeks usually helps. It is not a substitute for seeing a doctor if you are having severe symptoms

No: First of all, the vagina is like many ovens, "self cleaning". The use of bicarbonate of soda will introduce a very alkaline substance into the vagina that is mildly acidic naturally causing a acid/base reaction and some intense discomfort if used.

Depends what product: you are using. Have the smell or discharge examined by a GYN and stop self medicating with a vaginal wash. Soap and water are fine with an occasional bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) douche.- Get examined for infection.
