Yeast?: The most common cause of vaginal swelling is a yeast infection. Vaginal trauma, extreme dryness, STDs, topical allergic reactions, retained tampons are a few other possible causes.

You need an exam: Chemical irritation from soaps etc., infection, or trauma could be causes.  An exam would help solve your problem.  You can use 1% Hydrocortisone creme externally until your exam.

Not ovulating: You may have not ovulated which can result in a delayed period and a relative excess of estrogen.  This excess can cause vaginal discomfort, breast tenderness, nausea, etc.  I would check another pregnancy test in a week if still nothing, then see your doc.

Vaginitis: It sounds like you have inflammation of your genital area.  Common causes of swelling and discharge in a young person are bacterial and common "yeast infections."  These are easily treated with oral antibiotics or antifungal medication.

Tissue reaction: You may have developed a tissue reaction/swelling to something you used in the area.Scented toilet tissue, feminine wash, soaps (colored or scented) etc.All have the potential to trigger something like this.To confirm this or find out if it is something else, schedule an appointment. In the short term you can soak in warm water  and or apply a bag of crushed ice  as a cold compress for relief.

Yeast: It sounds like a yeast infection.  You can try a 5 or 7 day over the counter anti-fungal and see if that makes symptoms better.  Or you can go to urgent care or your doctor and get tested for yeast. Best wishes!

Inflamed? : Possibly the sex caused an irritation and inflamed your vagina in that area. If the sex was "protected" by a condom, possibly you have an allergic irriation to the latex which casued your swelling.  If this persists, see your gyn and tell them your symptoms. Good luck.
