what causes an ingrown hair on your body, and how to get rid of it?

Normal: Hairs sometimes grow a little wrong and turn inward becoming ingrown. They form little pimple like bumps. Usually squeezing them will get the gooey stuff and the hair out. You should not have to squeeze hard to express them...If painful or infected (happens occasionally) see your doc for help.

if i get laser hair removal on all of my dark hair can i still be at risk of ingrown hairs? i get so many ingrown hairs that i am considering just lasering off all of my body hair.  will this likely solve my problem or is it possible to keep getting ingro

It : It is still possible that you will get ingrown hairs with laser hair removal, although it is less likely.  During the laser hair removal process, you may actually get more ingrown hairs than you are used to- as any time you change the modality with which you remove hair- shaving to waxing to nairing to epilating to laser hair removal.  Over time, the number of in-growns should drastically reduce with laser hair removal, as there will be less hair.  Good luck!

my skin is dry/itchy. started using aveeno (oatmeal) body wash/lotion. i have tiny dot pimples on my legs look like ingrown hairs, how to prevent?? flakey skin

Dry skin/eczema: It's recommended to use plain white moisturizers two times a day, use less warm wate for bath or showers, use soaps or bath gel for sensitive skin ( better to go with in colored and non fragrant or non scented, also gently tapping skin to dry than rubbing with towel is also recommended. See your doctor or skin specialist if not improving, sooner if worse.

Get it checked/try: Discharge and a ingrown hai needs to be checked as ther may be infection may need to be treated with topical or oral antibiotics.
Shaving,lack of moisture of the skin,embedded oil in hair follicle or dead skin cell build up can cause it 
Meanwhile you can try to keep it clean by soap and water when you baithe,put warm compresses,you may be able to lift ingrown hair with a twwezer or by your doctor
