See your doctor: Infected Bartholin's Gland cysts can be extremely uncomfortable, at times creating a need for ER visit. This type of infection usually needs to be drained to effectively get rid of the pus buildup. Antibiotics are usually prescribed as well. Women may also need pain medication to get through this.

Batholins: Like a bartholins cyst or abscess. Happens when the gland gets blocked or irritated and swells up. If it gets worse, more tender, or starts draining liquid need to get checked out for infection. It may go away on its own, can try frequent baths and just soap and water.

First Aid Ointment: Apply topical First Aid Ointment like Triple Antibiotic or Polysporin Ointment from the pharmacy. Since the gland is in the nipple area use a bandaid to keep the ointment off of bra or clothing.

Hmmm?: It's hard to say without an exam.  Sometimes women have sebaceous cysts in the vagina, these are benign but they can be hard and filled with whitish material.  Most vaginal tissue is pink, so i would need to look to see what you are referring to.  You do have some glands in the vagina, most notably the Bartholin's gland and the skene's gland.  Maybe see another doc if you're not satisfied?

Antibiotics: Best treated with oral antibiotics if the area is red, painful, and swollen.  As an adjunct, local heat would help.  If there is any trapped pus (like a pimple) then opening that pocket so it could drain would be helpful.  Probably needs professional evaluation so a prescription for the antibiotics can be given to you.

i have excessive vaginal wetness.  i wear at least two panty liners a day.  it's there such a condition as an overactive bartholin's gland?

Sort of: Vaginal secretions come from the Bartholin's gland and many places in the vagina.  If abnormal causes of vaginal discharge are excluded, but there is a lot of vaginal discharge, the term is "physiologic leukorrhea".  This can be due to changes in diet, sexual activity, medication stress etc.  Its always best to see your gyn and have it checked out before deciding its normal.  Best wishes!

Infected gland: An infected bartholin's gland can be caused by many different bacteria.  These can result is severe pain if left untreated till the cystic structure can enlarge greatly.

Possibly: Any infection can cause a lymphnode to be inflamed. If your piercing  is red or inflamed it might be the source.

at least monthly neck/groin glands swell up. both sides of groin glands get infected - have hidradenitis. is it coincidence the 2 occur at same time?

Not teally: All those glands are susceptible . Do you consider meds to help not get the swelling? You might discuss it with your doc.
