Few possibilities: Without knowing several more pieces of your history and daily routine, this could be several things.  One of the more common reasons is that you may be iron deficient, especially being a young female.  Have your doctor do a few simple blood tests to start off with.

Possibility: That sounds normal. If the back muscles and other tissues are larger than the tips of the spine called the spinous processes, they will be higher and the tips will be lower in the midline creating the illusion of an indentation.
