been having blisters that appear all over my lips that pop n crust over the doctor rule out hsv by doing 2 swabs and blood work at 19 weeks 2 times so he said its impetigo but im on medication for it (bactroban)bumps still appearing i need help?

Impetigo: Bacitracin, but don't try this alone for too long if you are not seeing improvements as impetigo often needs more potent therapies.

Not the best drug: Impetigo is a strep infection of the skin. Doxycycline might work, but isn't the best choice. But if your doctor prescribed it, she probably had a good reason, so take it as directed -- or contact her if uncertain. If you're doing this on your own (e.g. with leftover doxycycline), just don't. See a doctor to confirm the diagnosis and prescribe proper treatment.

Usually not: Often lingers, spreads, and may become more serious, causing cellulitis or abcess. If caused by strep, it can cause glomerulonephritis, or, if spreading to the respiratory area, rheumatic fever. Often spreads to other members of the household, or came from other household member carrying the bacteria assymptomatically.

Gettin under ur skin: Impetigo can occur when a germ, usually a strep or staph species, gets into the skin--often through a small scratch or wound. The germ can be in  nasal passages or on your skin, esp hands and fingers. There are antibiotic ointments that can help it clear; sometimes oral antibiotics are necessary if it is widespread. Washing hands and using hand gels can keep it away! may need to see your dr for rx.

Unlikely: For antibiotic therapy, the chosen agent must provide coverage against both Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. The prevalence of methicillin-resistant S aureus (MRSA) and macrolide-resistant Streptococcus has changed empiric treatment options for impetigo, and relying upon OTC meds is not appropriate, with risks that can be life-threatening. A skin infection: Impetigo is a bacterial skin infection.  It is usually caused by either streptococcal and/or staphylococcal bacteria.  It can be treated with an oral antibiotic or a topical antibiotic like muciporcin.
