: Yes, it is safe to repeat the test. If you had a skin test, you could use the results, verified by your doctor and present those to the new organization. A blood test can be used instead to the usual skin test.

See below: A positive PPD is determined by the presence of swelling(induration) around the injection site.  Little or no swelling indicates a negative test.  Reddness is not used to determine a neg or pos test.

Hard to say...: If you got the test and your arm swelled up shortly afterwards, its possible that either you had an allergic reaction to the test, had a test site infection, or had an unrelated injury while sleeping or (if you had a blackout) were otherwise not aware of your surroundings.  Go back to the doctor who gave you the test and have them look.

1 to 3 days: It can take 1 to 3 days to get to its worst. This is for some people that have reactions after they have a positive test. If you are referring to a type of allergic reaction, this usually be almost right away.

TB test: Wait and try to not worry.  The TB test can only be interpreted between 48 to 72 hours after it is placed, and it must be raised and firm to be a positive reaction.  The diameter at which it is considered positive can vary from between 5 to 15 millimetres depending on various factors.

Negative result: If you have ever been exposed to TB (by having it yourself or being close to someone who has), then your body will react to the TB skin test and make a big bump.  The fact that your body didn't react means that you have never been exposed to TB and is a negative result!  Have a medical professional read the result 48-72 hours after the TB test was applied!
