good day. fo a week now a have a really bad cough.about 3 weeks ago i had flu but not the cough, and now suddely im coughing a lot. do i need antibiot?

Maybe: however the bronchitis following the flu , usually viral, may not need an antibiotic, however you may need a bronchodilator to help relieve the bronchial (airway) spasm, and reduce the cough, kindly revisit your doctor

experiencing stabbing pains on my left side below my ribs. every time i breathe, cough and move. i'm also coughing a lot. what could this be ?

Costochondritis: You have inflammation around the ribs after an upper respiratory infection. Try 600 to 800 mg of Motrin three times a day for the next week or so and the pain should resolve. Good luck.

i've been coughing a lot for the past couple of weeks. i have rhinosinusitis i'm waiting to get drained, could this be causing the cough?

Cough: A drip may cause a cough, but in some cases its due to cough asthma, allergies or from the lungs. See your primary doctor to check out your lungs. May also be from acid reflux.

my neck cracks when i cough hard. i currently have bronchitis so i'm coughing a lot. it cracks 5/6 discs just above my shoulders. potentially serious?

Take care of the: cough! Cracking doesn't mean anything more than articulation of the joint. The joint is moving! If it stops moving and you strain or injure it, then you'll have to have it treated! So take care of the bronchitis by visiting your PCP and getting an inhaler on board or more depending on what s/he finds out during the exam!

i have a cold with lots of mucous. i'm coughing a lot. my bp has elevated since i started taking  herbal cough medicine or could it be the cold?

Bp : Your blood pressure could be driven up by the herbal medicine, the cold could conceivably do it too.  After the cold is resolved be sure to make sure the pressure has returned to normal. If not you may need evaluation and treatment.

Not surprising: after coughing for a bit it is not unusual for the chest to be sore. Helps for you to brace yourself with a cushion when you cough. If the cough gets worse you should see a health care professional. Hope you feel better soon!

Cough: You could have strained a muscle or even broken a rib coughing. It could also be related to an infection or even pneumonia. See your physician.

Time to see your doc: It could be a simple viral illness, but if you're having a productive with blood in it, you need to have an exam by your doc.  They will listen to your lungs, get a better history and see if you need any imaging or medicines to help you get better.  Best of luck!
