Also the was a belief in royalties"of "blue bloods" mating sister with brother to create a superior race. Our transportation impovement and understanding of genetics have taken a step to the demise of the inbred.

Ouch: This is a very painful condition and can be very difficult to treat, even with surgery.  Best to see your surgeon for re-evaluation.  In the meantime, hot soaks in tub (hot as you can stand without burning yourself) can bring some relief.  Be sure plenty of water, fresh fruits/vegs and fiber in diet to keep stools soft. GET CHECKED: Rapid weight gain could be hypothyroidsim. A simple lab can be done to check thyroid.  Also 'water weight gain' (any ankle swelling?) can be caused by kidney disease (nephrotic syndrome) or liver disease (ascites).  An abdomen mass (or ovary mass) can 'make you look preganant' so an imaging study may help with the diagnosis.

Good question: Stress involved but not causative. Not sticking to meds is a big cause. Crohn's patients must not smoke-definite cause of flates. Nsaid type drugs, e.g. Advil/nuprin (ibuprofen), naproxyn (aleve), even Aspirin can cause flares. Other (unknown) factors. Associated with high fat, especially land fat (omega 6) intake, less so with lower fat and marine fat (omega 3).
