No: Plan b may or may not cause irregular bleeding.  These are side effects. The only way to know that treatment was successful is that your period arrived, or that you had a negative pregnancy test after time of anticipated period.

: Plan B has more than one mechanism of action. The important issue is to take Plan B within 72 hours of sex for it to be 95% effective. Better that you take contraceptive all the time, every time. Consider getting an IUD or an implant.

If you develop chest tightness, difficulty breathing, swelling of lips, mouth, throat – call 911.  Notify your gyn if your period is 7 or &gt; days late.
