Yes he can but: If you have iud you can have unprotected sex without risk of getting pregnancy
There is a risk of 2to6 out of thousand to get pregnant depending on what kind of iud you have

Long changes: With 10 years of near constant progesterone presence in your uterus with the Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD in place, I have to think that it's going to take your body awhile to readjust to get back to "normal" levels of it's own hormones and cycles. Patience is difficult to have when you're trying to conceive but give your body some more time and keep trying.Consider using ovulation kits to know exactly when to try.

Abstinence, condoms: Those are your non-permanent options. Withdrawal method has a high fail rate of 20%. There are permanent options too, but i don't recommend these for your age as there is a high risk of regret.

Not to worry: All IUDs prevent pregnancy, and antibiotics don't interfere with them. Mirena (levonorgestrel) combines the usual action of an IUD with the hormonal effects of the progesterone-type drug included with it. A few antibiotics can affect the hormone's effectiveness, but most won't, including ciprofloxacin.

ive tried bcps, iuds, nexplanon, the patch, the ring.. basically everything but shots, all varying hormone levels. was fine for 3 years on the pill, but now every single birth control makes me bleed 4+ weeks nonstop. why?!?!?!

Evaluation: I would recommend an evaluation by a gynecologist. This could be primarily a hormone issue, but could be associated with a structural issue- fibroid etc. I would make arrangements to see a provider.

Yes: The iud is effective immediately after insertion and is a highly effective form of contraception.  Be sure to follow her doctor's instructions exactly in the first few months of use as this is the most vulnerable period of possible expulsion and therefore effectiveness.  Be sure to report any signs of infection to her doctor.  The iud can be very safe if certain precautions are followed.

Maybe normal.: Your wife should do a pregnancy test to exclude pregnancy. Spotting maybe normal with an iud especially with the paragard (copper) iud. It is also common with both forms of iud (copper or progesterone) in the early months after insertion. The spotting may also be ovulatory bleeding (if using paragard iud) due to the hormone change from estrogen to progesterone midcycle.

my wife has heavy bleeding since she put paragard iud (26 days ago) the doctor gave her aurobindo( birth control pills) to help stop the bleeding.but not stopping after 1week n recent big dark clot blood?

Excessive bleeding: Since her doctor has prescribed medical therapy for excessive bleeding and the IUD is in place, I would recommend she see her women's health doctor for more definitive treatment. as soon as possible.

Safe for use : Both types of iuds approved for use in the United States are approved for use in women before they've had a baby. Both are excellent choices for birth control. Taking extra birth control would not be necessary and would not make them more effective.

Planned parenthood: If you have access to a gynecologist, please see her/him. If not ,go to the local planned parenthood clinic. An injectable or depot hormonal birth control is also available. You may also consider regular birth control pills.
Practice safe sex and get HIV vaccine.
