Pregnancy diagnosis: A woman is fertile from five days before ovulation to the 24 hours after ovulation. Ovulation can occur as early as eight days after the first day of the last menstrual period

Common sign and symptoms of pregnancy are missing a period, nausea/vomiting, fatigue, breast tenderness.

Almost all pregnant women will have a positive urine pregnancy test one week after the first day of a missed period.

No: It is very very unlikely to get pregnant the day before one's period starts, if the period actually started the next day.  If one did turn out to be pregnant, then either she was already pregnant from the prior month, or her "period" was not her true, regular period.

Can I get pregnant?: No. This sounds unlikely.  But again that question depends on when your last period was; was the period of normal length and of normal duration.

But if all is normal then you most likely did not become pregnant from this sexual encounter.  If you are late this month it may be wise to do a home pregnancy test.

Not if period came: A woman cannot get her normal regular period and be pregnant at the same time. However, she can get pregnant a week or two after her normal period. If she has some spotting or light bleeding that doesn't look like her normal regular period, she can check a urine pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex (when conception might have happened) to see if she is pregnant.

Ovulation ; Periods: Nope. It is unlikely.  You get pregnant when you ovulate. The menstrual period is the sign that the ovulated egg was not impregnated.  Ovulation usually occurs just shy of half way through one's cycle. Every menstruating female should know the simple fact of when she ovulates.
