i took a morning after pill three weeks ago. then i started having spotting a week after taking a morning after pill for 4 days. my periods are on the 20th but i didnt get them yet only brown discharge. is it normal?

About those pills: Plan B (and other "morning after" pills) can alter the menstrual bleeding for the cycle in which Plan B was taken, and sometimes in the next cycle too. One should be sure to check a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex, because emergency contraceptive pills work most of the time, but not all the time.

This can be : an expected effect of the morning after pill.  If continues, a pregnancy test can be helpful. If continues, see your doctor, also consider a more consistent contraceptive plan/method.

Wait longer: Typically once you stop BCPs, you will get your menses in 2-3 days.  However it can take up to a week before you get your menses.  Also consider that the longer you have been taking the BCPs, the lighter your menses will become.  The BCPs can keep your lining very thin so that once you stop them the bleeding is slight to almost nonexistent (temporary). You will revert back to your previous pattern
