Why?: Why would you want to make yourself throw up.  The acid coming up the esophagus is not good for it.  If you are nauseous and feel like vomiting, there may be medicines to help the nausea. Speak to your doctor first.

Induced Vomiting: You can not throw up parts of your stomach but you can end up with a small tear in your esophagus in which case you may see blood.  It is generally not a good idea to induce vomiting. If you are not eating because you are frequently nauseous then you need to be evaluated.

Absolutely: You can do permanent damage to your teeth as stomach acid causes them to rot away.  You can damage all of your upper GI tract soft tissues.  You need help, and you need it NOW.  This isn't something that can wait.  Call your Family Doctor or go to ER IMMEDIATELY.  Your behavior can be life threatening.

Chest pains: These painful episodes may be esophageal spasms which occur suddenly often with no relationship to eating. Another possibility is gall stones with attacks usually provoked by eating fatty foods.  A gastroenterologist can evaluate and advise you. Appropriate testing will be done.

This requires: some simple testing (Barium swallow) by an ear nose and throat specialist. DON'T DROP THIS get it evaluated ASAP!

Eating disorder?: You may have an eating disorder if you answer yes to two or more of the following: 1) do you force yourself to vomit because you're uncomfortably full?  2) do you worry that you've lost control over how much you eat?  3) have you lost &gt;14 lbs in a 3 month period?  4) do you believe you're fat when others think you are too thin?  5) does thinking about food dominate your life?
