Skin changes: It sounds like you need to visit a dermatologist. There is a possibility that you may have Tinea versicolor, which is a non-contagious fungus which causes light or dark circles which may coalesce into larger areas. It is important to wear sunscreen and avoid sunburn. Sun damage can lead to serious skin conditions including skin cancer. Remember to protect yourself from the sun.

Possible: There is a form of skin whitening called idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis...A mouthful...But it means little dots of pigment loss.  Some doctors believe it is from sun damage, which tanning beds can certainly accelerate.

Skin color changes: Can come from several different reasons. One could be a skin fungus which can spread and look like whiter spots than your normal skin. One remedy may be showering with selsum blue shampoo and let it sit on your skin for a couple if minutes. Another possibility is vitiligo (the michael jackson skin disease).  This is a skin disorder where you start to lose the pigment cells called melanocytes.
