Ask your doctor: Questions regarding issues after surgery are always best answered by your surgeon. However light to medium bleeding after hysteroscopy is usually normal for up to 1-2 weeks. If bleeding becomes heavy, severe pain develops or a fever over 101 go to the ER

Period: check to see if it smells.  Vaginal discharge with mucous can be normal but not if it smells badly.  Sometimes mucous can be a sign of ovulation or pregnancy.  If it persists you should have a good pelvic exam.  It is unlikely you are pregnant but a home pregnancy should be done.

Doctor can evaluate: One's primary care doctor can check out a new or unusual vaginal discharge that started after sex. The doctor can check for a urine infection, if there are any urinary symptoms. Sometimes vaginal discharges are related to overgrowth of non-dangerous bacteria, but other times they are related to sexually-transmitted infectious microbes that need treatment. A pregnancy test can be done, if needed.

Very common: After your period some blood remains in the back of the vagina and then slowly comes out. If you feel the discharge is not old blood then see an obgyn for infection testing.Consider starting birth control to decrease the length of your cycles.
