: Sexual excitement increase the blood flow to testicles and causes engorgement and some amount of discomfort is normal.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

Likely not serious: Achy, non-severe pain in testicle or spermatic cord is common at your age. Probably condition known as "blue balls" or "lovers' nuts". Often caused by erotic reactions without release. This symptom can occur with a varicocele, whih feels like a "bag of worms" in scrotum when standing &amp; goes when lying down. Severe, sudden onset testicular pains are ones which shouldn't be ignored.

for the last week i've have pain in my left testicle and left leg. i've been doing a lot of heavy lifting. could the pain in feeling come from that.

Back and or hernia: The lifting could have caused an inguinal hernia or you might have a lumbar spine issue which can cause pain to radiate into the testicle

Testis pain: Most cases of pain in the testicle will resolve on their own.  I would see your primary care doctor to make sure you don't have an infection first.  If your symptoms persist longer than three months, you should probably see an urologist.

Get care NOW!: I don't know if trauma increases the risk of torsion. But you are right in the peak age group in whom torsion is the most common cause of unexplained testicular pain. Epididymitis due to gonorrhea or chlamydia could be a consideration, but only if at risk for STDs. See a doctor immediately; if it's torsion, you need surgery within a few hours in order to save the testicle.

: A testicular pain can sometimes radiate to the groin. Shooting ,fleeting testicular pains are nonspecific. Do you feel a lump? Have tenderness? For peace of mind have an examination by your physician or a urologist. Any appropriate testing will be ordered.
