Yes: "stones" in the kidney are not usually the large "staghorn" type people think of. You usually have to use a strainer or tea bag to filter your urine in order to capture the "stones." therefore, you certainly may have kidney stones. Until they pass, the pain may be there. There are other things which may cause pain in addition to stones, so make sure that is what you have.

Yes it can.: To alleviate pain, u may take otc tylenol (acetaminophen) or nsaids/ Motrin , aleve etc. Drink lots of water with cranberry juice. Get checked for urinary tract infection. Hope u feel better soon!

It might become painful but settle spontaneously

Hip version: Indirectly, yes, especially if you already have preexisting bulging discs or some form of impingement. You may get referred nerve root pain.

Cause of uti fixed?: Normally, the human urinary system is designed to 1) flow one way (i.e. Out) and 2) completely empty the bladder. Recommend a referral to an infectious diseases specialist near you.

Prone to UTIs or: Original UTI not treated with correct antibiotic. Urine culture is necessary if UTI appears to recur immediately in case of wrong antibiotic. If prone: can be related by not emptying bladder after sex, constipation, synthetic or thong underwear, infrequent urination, bubble bath or bathing not showering, keepin thighs together when urinating & thus trapping urine behind labia. Germs love urine.
