my eye hurts and there is a swollen bump inside my lower eyelid. what could be the cause?

Stye: At your age, this is probably a stye.  This is a blocked gland in the substance of the lid which will produce a red swelling on the inside of the lid.  If advanced it may swell the whole lid.  To treat, use very warm washcloths socked from your water tap (not too hot).  for about 5 minutes at a time, 5 times per day for several days .  this will usually get rid of it.

Most likely a stye: Most likely it's a chalazion or a stye. They should resolve with warm compresses. If they don't it needs to be drained and at the same time I would. Biopsy it to make sure it's not a malignancy.

Bruise: Probably just suffered a local bruise.  Use ice packs to the area kicked to help reduce inflammation .  Eye twitches are usually the result of general fatigue and not really related to the injury. I can't explain the eye pain from your info - if it persists then get it assessed.

Chalazion: You most likely have a chalazion.  Go ahead and use warm compresses on the lids and it should slowly get smaller.  If not, see an ophthalmologist.

Unknown bump: Bump around the eyes may be benign cysts or may be cancerous lesions.  It is best if you have a bump around your eye to see your eyecare provider to determine the best method for removal.

Stye or chalazion ?: Could be a hordeolum (stye) or chalazion( blocked oil gland). Both are usually just observed if small. Warm compresses might help if it's a stye. Hard to tell without seeing it.

Difficult to say: Without a picture it is really hard to say. I'm not sure if you are describing an early bruise around the eye. Was there a history of trauma?  I really would see your local eye md for a specific answer as it will likely warrant a good examination.  Good luck!

See ophthalmologist: you ought to have this evaluated by an eye doctor {Ophthalmologist}. It could be signs of an infection , foreign body, or something else more serious.

May be a sign of...: inflammation in the eye. When the eye in inflammed the structure in the eye that makes fluid can shut down and the eye pressure can go very low, hence a softer feeling eye. I would suggest being seen soon by an eye care provider as this would likely need prescription treatment.

Probable stye: These are symptoms typical for a stye.  Try using heat therapy.  Take a wash cloth, put it under very warm (not hot) water, wring it a little and place over the closed eye for 4-5 minutes and do this 5 times per day.  2-3 times per day is too little and probably will not work.  This  treatment usually shrinks these in3-5 days.
