Did you continue?: It depends on what you did after taking the 5 pills. If you continued taking them one per day then you would not start your next period until you finish that pack.

Pregnant?: If you ovulated, and happened to get pregnant,  the bleeding may be coming from a pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic) which needs immediate attention.  See your gyn provider, and get a serum HCG test and exam, since "home pregnancy tests" may not detect an early pregnancy.

Heavy periods: There are multiple options. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others. If you are done having children discuss the option of an endometrial ablation. In some cases a hysterectomy will be needed.

: She should get a blood test for HCG level to settle the issue. She may need to repeat the test at more than 3 weeks after sex, unless she gets a period by then. It takes about 3 weeks from the time of sex to get a positive pregnancy test.

Many possible causes: Spotting between periods, or other abbnormal vaginal bleeding, has many causes. At your age of 18 and sexually active, STDs are high on the list of possibilities, especially gonorrhea or chlamydia. There are many other possibilities as well. See your GP or gynecologist ASAP, or perhaps your nearest NHS GUM clinic, where you will get expert, lifestyle-senstive care. Good luck!

Usually: Late periods are almost always due to late ovulations or pregnancy. A home pregnancy test is a good start if you are sexually active.  This also happens due to persistent cysts.

If you are pregnant: 1st time sex should not delay the epriod, unless the srtess from that event can affect the hormones so check a blood preg test to r/o preg.

GYN: See your gyn for a pelvic exam. You should not bleed after sexual intercourse. I suggest abstaining until examined by gyn . Consider if you had adequate lubrication or if bleeding was related to position.
