Menses: The average adult menstrual cycle lasts 28 to 35 days, with approximately 14 to 21 days in the follicular phase and 14 days in the luteal phase. There is relatively little cycle variability among women between the ages of 20 and 40 years. In comparison, there is significantly more cycle variability for the first five to seven years after menarche and for the last 10 years before cessation.

Unlikely: If you are having a normal menstrual bleed, even a few days late, means you aren't pregnant. It sounds like you might want to see a doctor about a reliable method of birth control unless you are hoping to become pregnant. If you are attempting pregnancy, ovulation predictor kits can be extremely useful and can be purchased over the counter. If you aren't already, I suggest taking prenatal vitamins

Irregular bleeding: Bleeding is not a diagnostic sign that points to pregnancy.  Viable pregnancy, in general, stops vaginal bleeding.  But, it also does not rule out pregnancy. If your next period does not start on time then you need a pregnancy test. If the bleeding persists something is wrong and you need an examination and evaluation by your family doctor.

i have 36 days in my menstrual cycle. i've ovulated on nov 3rd had sex nov 2nd late that night with ejaculation.  could i be pregnant this go around?

Possible: It is always possible that you can become pregnant if you have sex around the time of your ovulation. If you are trying to become pregnant make sure you are taking a prenatal vitamin with folate (folic acid) to prevent possible birth defects (neural tube defects) in your child. Good luck. The best time to check a pregnancy test is one week after a missed period, but they could be positive earlier.
