Little lung damage: Pectus looks like it should cause a lot of problems for the lungs, but there is a much greater cosmetic problem than lung problem. Lung function tests are usually normal or very close to normal in patients considering repair of even severe pectus. If the chest deformity is part of a syndrome (or more extensive than just pectus), then under-development of the lung may also be part of the syndrome.

Hyperpigmentation?: Like most dermatologic conditions, the best way we dermatologists make this diagnosis is to look at the patient. This coloration can be due to any thing from irritation of skin to medications you're taking and other factors. They are plethoric. My best advice is to see a dermatologist and ask.

Chest papules: May be eczema, folliculitis ( inflammation of hair follicles), fungus ( usually not raised)  or psoriasis or other. keep clean and dry wash 2 x a day with soap and water or hibiclens(OTC washing solution used inhsopitals can get in CVS)  and water, follow up with doc as may need topical antibiotics like mupirocin or antifungal like lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone).

Accidental: That must have been accidental. Is she otherwise normal- sucking well? Feeding well? Moving her neck,arms and legs appropriately? Not crying incessantly? All this wld suggest that it happened by accident. If different or u r worried u shd have here examined by a pediatrician in urgent care or emergency room as soon as possible.
