after i cleaned my ears out at home (hydrogen peroxide & water w/ a syringe) my left ear feels clogged. i tried the method where you plug your nose and blow/yawning/swallowing. my ear isnt hurting just feels clogged. should i try the syringe again?

: You can keep flushing the ear canal with warm water and peroxide.  Pieces of wax may float out.  After 2-4 cups of solution, try a warm shower and lie down.  Even after the plug is out, you may have the sensation for awhile.  if you have fever, pain, difficulty swallowing, please see your doctor and look for infection.

Be seen: Most likely, as you suspected, you have ear wax plugging your ear canal. H2o2 has been used by folks to dissolve it but that is a harsh chemical that can damage skin, especially if used full strength. Safer ways exist to clean out an ear. Also, other things can cause that problem that might be in a different part of the ear, so the best approach is to have someone who knows what they are doing loo.

Fluid in ear: As long as there is no problem with the eardrum, you can try using a hair dryer held at arm's length pointed at the ear to evaporate the fluid.  Or you can try a couple drops of isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) after the peroxide, then air drying.  Otherwise, a visit to the ENT doctor may be in order- he/she has the equipment needed for further suctioning without causing harm to the eardrum.

Not pure H2O2: debrox is a commercially produced and FDA approved LOW CONCENTRATION of hydrogen peroxide with oil to specifically do that.
