No: The vaccine has been tested widely, and approved for use by the FDA.  I have used it since it came out, and have never had any issues or side effects (other than the rare localized irritation that  can occur with any immunization).  Do not worry about this, as the vaccine can provide good coverage against many strains of HPV that could lead to Cervical cancer and/or genital warts.

With limited resources in healthcare, maybe girls should be offered the vaccine first, before the boys. At this time, the vaccine is recommended for all teens, both girls and boys.

: It hurts more than some vaccines. Otherwise side effects are minimal. The common one in use in the US is Gardasil 9 which helps prevent 7 cancer and 2 wart associated strains. I know of no data that suggests requiring an interval between this &amp; the covid vaccines, (too new). The primary benefit is avoid cervical cancer in sexually active females. Insurers in the US don't cover it after age 29.

Get it now: The sooner you take the vaccine the sooner you will be protected from infection with other HPV strains.
