Probably not: HPV rarely if ever causes inflammation, itching, pain, etc. Keep working with your doctor on the cause, but HPV probably isn't it. Good luck.

Maybe, don't worry: Most warts are caused by papillomavirus. Your negative test is reassuring as the high risk strains are usually associated with a positive test. 
Warts are very common. Most go away by themselves. If many or unsightly you can get treatment from your GYN. You will be having yearly GYN evaluation with PaP smear so the chance of any serious problem is very small. Don't worry. Get yearly follow up.

Not HPV: HPV doesn't cause odor or discharge, except rarely in very advanced cases of cervical cancer. By far the main cause of strong vaginal odor -- often fishy, often strongest after sex -- is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal vaginal bacteria. BV is often triggered by sex. Trichomonas, an STD, causes the same odor; and other STDs are common in women with BV. Contact your doctor soon.

i got tested for hpv came back negative but i see a bump on the inner side of my vagina what can it be?

Many possibilities: There are all sorts of bumps and irregularities of the labia minor, vaginal lining, etc. It could still be a genital wart despite your negative HPV test. But probably not; genital warts rarely occur as single bumps, usually several. Various cysts, skin tags, etc are very common as well. You&#x27;ll need to be examined in person, preferably by the doctor or clinic where your pap and HPV test were done.

Human Papilloma: Virus does not normally cause changes to normal vaginal discharges.  If you have a change in color, texture, odor or amount of vaginal discharge ; problems such as pain, itching burning with urination or sex or redness/swelling  then it is best to see your gynecologist for evaluation ; accurate assessment.
