i did a hpv test/screen and unfortunately it came out positive.

i was wondering thought the test read

hpv genotype 1- 39
hpv gentoype 2- 35

what does this mean and can i get a cure. i went to do the test because i noticed a tiny bump on my penis?

: There are many types of HPV, some of which can cause cancer, such as types 16 and 18, which are linked to (female) cervical cancer .  Most of all types of HPV will be "cured" by one's immune system over 1-2 years.  Lesions like penile warts can be treated by medication or cryotherapy.  When lesions appear, consult with your physician or a urologist for current treatment.

What did Pap show?: Did ur Pap cytology show SIL? - LSIL or HSIL?
If so, given ur age, you need a Colposcopy, regardless of HPV result.  However a high risk HPV subtype supports the cytology result of SIL.  A colposcopy with biopsies / ECC will provide histologic samples for the pathologist to determine severity of cervical dysplasia.  Please see clinician who is qualified to perform colposcopies to review ur results

No: There is no techniques  or tests currently to detect HPV Infection in men if there are no warts .Sperms are not affected by HPV Virus snd genotyping will not help.Prevention by HPV Vaccine is recommended to prevent HPV infection in men

Hard to guess, but: Doubt that one's doctor would recommend Cervarix now. The latest Gardasil vaccine protects against 9 strains of HPV, whereas the Cervarix only protected against the worst 2 strains. A patient may ask her doctor about getting Gardasil-9 vaccine, and see what her doctor says. For young families with children in this era, the whole family will have been vaccinated or will be vaccinated.

Monitor: All strains of HPV have the ability to persist in your body for life.The primary infection usually clears in immune competent people but the strain can reactivate in the future. Strains 16/18 are not the only strains linked to future complications. Regular surveillance visits will be necessary to pick these up early in a treatable stage if they occur.

HPV Strain 45 ?: HPV 16, 18 and 45 account for 90 % of strains that cause cervical cancers
Other strains that are considered less risky for cervical cancer development are 31,33.34,35,  52 &amp; 58!
So best get pap test yearly and follow up with OBGYN for high risk results and further treatments !
