Blood in urine: Any amount fo rbc's higher than 0-5 should be evaluated by a urologist. If you are a female you have to make sure that you are not ovulating or menstruating. If that is the case, it should be repeated and if still elevated, workup should be done.

Absolutely not: I suspect you have epididymitis if the "testicle" is tender. I'm sorry your physician isn't better at explaining things -- get back on the phone and insist on an explanation for what's going on. I doubt this is a sexually transmitted disease, though a culture for gonorrhea and a chlamdia test may be in order.

ALOT: A  urine analysis (ua) can show: state of hydration (spec grav), kidney disease (protein), diabetes (sugar/ketones) , stone/tumor (blood), liver disease (bilirubin), infection (white cells/nitrite).  Also seen under the microscope are casts, crystals, bacteria, yeast. Separate tests check pregnancy (HCG) and drug screen. Remember to do ua as a 'clean catch'
wipe area, urinate, catch urine, finish.
