Depends on cause...: One's primary care doctor can check for medical causes. If none are found, then one can see a dermatologist, especially one specializing in hair restoration (some treatments: minoxidil, finasteride, hair transplants, ...). Medical causes may include: hormonal problems (low thyroid), seborrhea, alopecia areata, stressful illness. Other causes: genetic male/female pattern baldness, telogen effluvium.

Not likely: Rogaine (minoxidil) and related products have had minimal success in very early hair loss; come up with something that actually works and you'll be wealthy.

Man? woman?: In a woman suggest see dermatologist for blood tests to determine underlying cause. If male oral Propecia (finasteride) is option. This needs to be taken long term. If the hair loss persists a hair transplant is an option to  fill in the areas, but try medical treatment first.

Alopecia: Could be the androgenic type if you have frontal thinning, however in a female it may indicate the possibility of some sort of medical disease such as a hormonal problem/Polycystic ovarian syndrome.  Advise assessment with a doctor licensed in your area to assess you as you may need some tests run to exclude these possibilities.  All the best.

Male pattern baldnes: Is due to male hormones & genetics. There are topical meds like rogaine (minoxidil) that can stop loss & slowly regrow hair. Also oral meds, but they may have unacceptable side effects. Check with doc to make sure not another condition. Hair transplants not advised at your age.

Hair loss : It is normal to lose up to a hundred or so hairs a day. At times stress , medications , or systemic disease (thyroid, diabetes ) may be the cause . If the condition does not improve after a few months, see a dermatologist for evaluation and treatment options.

a grey patch of hair developed on my head in 2018 (it's positioned like a fat strand at the mid frontal of my hair). also in 2020 i developed unilateral sshl :(. do you think these two things can be linked? waardenburg sydrome? or just poliosis?

: No, those 2 issues are likely unrelated in your case. The sensory hearing loss in Waardenburg sydrome is a congenital disorder which is different from the more common SSHL in your case, usually reversible with early treatment. Regarding you hair patch, you are probably correct about poliosis.
