Allergic  to  all p.: There is a difference between allergic  to a medicine and having side effect to it . All medication has side effect and usually  if we start low and go slaw eventually  we get used to it.

Iron/ constipation: Iron can make you constipated and females in child bearing years can be iron deficient. But chronic disease like crohns, celiac, food intolerances,autoimmune disease( lupus,RA) ,diet , intestinal worms can make you deficient as well . Bloating can be constipation  or intolerances,infection or from ovaries./uterus High fiber, lots of fluids , F/U with  doctor urgent care

Don't worry : The supplements will not rot out his teeth. Just work on his oral hygiene (brush and floss at least twice daily) and eat and drink a healthy diet. His teeth and gums will be fine. Good luck.

Baking soda helps: Iron stains on the teeth are just on the surface. Cleaning the teeth with a little baking soda on a toothbrush or piece of gauze each evening will help remove any existing stains and prevent them from accumulating.

Iron doesn't rot: See Dentist for exam, cleaning, and to fix any damaged teeth.  Ask Dentist for individualized Oral Hygiene program.  Have ck-ups at least 2x/yr.  avoid sugars, starches, acids.  Consider a fluoride mouthwash.

i took an iron supplement 5hrs after i ate and now    i feel really nauseous, like i could puke but can't. how can i feel better and prevention method?

Iron ; nausea: Iron supplements can often cause nausea, especially when taken on an empty stomach (which would generally be the case 5 hours after eating).  Best to take this one with food from now on.  You could try some ginger tea or flattened ginger ale to settle your stomach now.

ive been having dark brown, but not black, stool the past couple weeks with sometimes visible mucus on it. i dont take any iron supplements or pepto bismol. i do suffer from chronic constipation. is this a cause for concern?

Depends: Stool color depends on diet, medications and supplements. If the dark brown is due to blood that has been degraded that may indicate Gastrointestinal bleeding which requires further evaluation. If it is not due to blood May generally reflect diet.

Mostly GI Distress: Side effects from taking iron supplements are most often diarrhea or constipation and epigastric abdominal discomfort. Taken after a meal, side effects decrease, but there is an increased risk of interaction with other substances. Black stools are not uncommon, but harmless.  Liquid form can discolor the teeth and intramuscular injections can be painful and leave a brown discoloration.

Usually GI issues: Oral iron most commonly causes GI side effects - constipation etc. Dizziness would be possible, but less likely.

Possible bile: I suggest liver function studies and an abdominal ultrasound.
