Losing weight: To lose weight, get ur resting metabolism rate done(weight loss centers do this). This determines the total number of calories you need to lose 1-2lbs/week. Decreasing 500cal/day will give you a 1lb wt loss in 1wk; drink water (1/2 your body weight), eat small meals about 150-200cal 2-4x/(depending on your metabolism rate) and 500cal/meal at night: lean protein/veggies; avoid carbs, .

Not easy: Keep a detailed diary of all of your intake for a week or so. You may be eating/drinking more than you realize. After review of the diary, reduce you intake by at least 30%. With increasing age, it is harder to lose weight due to slowing of metabolism.

Spot fat loss does: not occur naturally. By losing weight in general some will probably be abdominal fat. But, we don't get to choose what area of body fat is lost from. Eat healthy &amp; be physically active. Calories burned must &gt; those consumed. Tighten ab's: crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge &amp; “bicycling” exercise on back. Do regular aerobic exercise.

Why you are using ?: Is it for convulsions , or neuralgia , or for myalgia., your weight gain is likely not from Lyrica (pregabalin)  if think it is,  look for alternative medication.  . Just by under- going sleeve resection is not enough  loose weight, you have to reduce the caloric intake , regular exercises and work out is needed . Speak to your surgeon.

Hard to say: Sometimes it is a question of dose rather than the medicine itself causing weight gain. I would look at this first then consider alternatives,  especially if Lyrica (pregabalin) works for you already. Otherwise some medicine like Cymbalta may be helpful.

And normal body mass index is about 18 to 25, overweight is 25 to 30, and obesity above 30. Therefore your weight is fine for your height. Everything else really depends on your total health. The question to ask is what was your weight before these medications

Medications in the same classes have differing degrees to which they contribute on an individual basis. Following is a list of different classes and examples of each: AED- Lyrica, (pregabalin) gabapentin, Topamax. TCA-Doxepin, amitriptyline. SNRI-Cymbalta, venlafaxine. Topamax often causes weight loss.
