Perfectly normal: They can occur by day &amp; night. Every normal young male has erections whilst sleeping. Erections can occur by as result of a full bladder, especially first thing in am. Erections can be caused by glans penis rubbing on clothes. Also normal if you have any erotic thoughts or see someone attractive. Frequency will lessen with time. No cause for any concern, just means UR normal.

Too many Erections?: One way to prevent the random (possibly embarrassing) woody is to increase frequency of sexual activity.  For a time after climax, known as the refractory period, it is less likely that one will get a spontaneous erection.  In some circumstances, libido can be decreased a medication that alters testosterone levels, but that would have to be a pretty extreme situation.

No: Learn to hide them.  Put your hands in your pockets, stand facing the wall, sit down, wear good support.
