Brief supplementation with lysine 1, 000mg orally three times a day at the onset, can also hasten healing. Your physician can prescribe oral valtrex (valacyclovir). Laser treatments are also used to treat cold sores.

Often treated by a dentist using s soft tissue laser (without actually touching the sore)  & makes them heal faster.
See your md if medical issues exist.

Time will heal: This could be a cold sore, but it is more likely a fever blister or an aphthous ulcer, which can occur due to light trauma like biting your lip. The best thing to do is give it time and avoid biting on it to allow it to heal. If it persists I would recommend to see an MD

Steroids: Steroid creams can help with resolution. Cortisone 10 is the most common otc.

SSKI: try topical SSKI/DMSO.
It is totally over the counter, although those with sensitive skin may have trouble with the DMSO.
