Herpes: You can reactivate herpetic eruptions with trauma, but without seeing the lesion have no accurate way in which to answer your question. If this gets worse, suggest you see a doctor and have it examined.

There : There are a few different things this may be incuding folliculitis, herpes, or molluscum contagiosum. 
Be careful and do not expose someone to them  until you are sure what they are.

Shingles???: First condition that comes to mind is possible shingles, a re-activation of the chicken pox that commonly effects that particular nerve branch. Definitely need to go in and be evaluated by your doctor.

Maybe: In general herpes is very painful.  However, it varies depending on the stage that you notice them.  At the vesicular stage or bubbles, they may not hurt as much but when they turn into blisters, they are very painful as the nerve endings are exposed.  If they are already blistering and still non-painful, they are probably not herpes but another infections or condition altogether.
