Walk/run, stay hydrated, If firm stool in rectal vault, use Vaseline &amp; finger to break-up, consider fleets enema, enema bag (e.g. Walmart) &amp; instill salt water (gentle) up to soap suds from bottom. Prunes (gentle) up to Citrate of Magnesia &amp;/or Fleets from top (more effective). Always judgement vs. risk issues.

Uncomfortable: But not dangerous unless your constipation is caused by an un-diagnosed problem in your colon. If this is recurrent, at your age you should consider a colonoscopy.

Well...: You can get OTC COLACE (docusate sodium)...  follow the direction on the bottle.
From now on, increase the amount of fiber in your diet, and drink a lot of fluids.
(Metamucil as a fiber supplement is quite good)

Fiber: Natural fiber and lots of water. Consider fruit like prunes. If this is a recurring problem have it checked by an medcal doctor.

Fiber is good but: If you are not drinking enough fluid it can lead to constipation. Remember caffeine and alcohol dehydrate and lead to constipation. Generally i recommend 80-100 ounces of caffeine free/alcohol free fluids every day. It will take 10-14 days of this regimen to see improvement. If not better need to have a GI workup for other causes of constipation.

Not normal: You need a rectal exam to check if you are not  impacted as that would require manual disimpaction. Once you have been examined by your primary doc then he/she can advise you what meds to take. You will likely need to take stool softeners, fiber supplements, +/- laxatives on a regular basis if it is this bad. I also recommend a GI eval to assess for motility disorders such as colonic inertia.

Liquids only: And take a tbspoon of mom and mineral oil every 12 hours. Should clean out in 24-48 hours. If stool in rectum use glycerine suppository or fleet enema (sodium bisphosphate) from below. Do not eat solid food untlil you are completely cleaned out and avoid getting to this point in the future by eating and drinking properly.

Constipation: Visit your doctor for possible manual disimpaction, if using water & fiber, laxatives or enemas did not relieve the impaction.

Enemas and laxatives: By day 5, you may need to loosen stool up a bit with an enema or too before trying some oral laxative such as Miralax (polyethylene glycol) powder or Dulcolax tabs.
