Not much: Urinary retention has to occur over a much longer period of time to cause potential issues.

Light/clear urine: Light or clear urine tells you that your urine is quite dilute. This means you are drinking a lot of fluids. Diabetes is definitely high on the list, so you should check for it. If negative, there is also diabetes insipidus which is caused by the dysfunction of the pituitary gland. In that case the water in the urine doesn't get reabsorbed back into the bloodstream by the kidneys and is eliminated.

May be normal.: Sometimes it is normal for the mucous to be "salty". The ph and sodium content changes with medication, allergies and infections.

See doctor for : frequent urination if there's pain or fever present, or burning with urination, over color. The color is normal. If you see blood or clots present, that's a real problem emerging! Cold temperature itself, being nervous, can stimulate more frequent peeing that has nothing to do with having a urinary tract infection. So ask your doctor for sure what's going on in your case. i noticed some bubbles in my urine this morning after peeing, they were clear and seemed to be popping, is this a worry? i hear that could mean kidney problems. what is normal and what is not? thanks in advance?

No, as long as ...: Voiding, as often as you're, is usually nothing to do with your kidney as long as you have strong continuous urine flow with no overwork on the bladder. So, frequent voiding per se poses no risk to kidneys and your kidneys should work just fine.

It : It could be a liver problem, a gallbladder problem (the gallbladder sits right below your liver and can get stones and get infected), a kidney problem or several other issues.  Please be seen immediately and have evaluation for this.  If your doctor can't see you right away, or if you have continued pain, fever, or vomiting then you will have to go to the er.

Probably: If this is a new symptom, to start with you need to be checked for urinary tract infection, and for diabetes.Usually with diabetes (uncontrolled) you will also be thirsty. Frequent urination and thirst are signs of high glucose levels. If the above is negative then you need to be checked foe other reasons. Anyhow please see your primary doctor asap to find out.

It is necessary to see physician for diagnosis and treatment or symptoms will continue to worsen.Other causes of urinary frequency include diabetes, excessive drinking, on diuretics, prostate hypertrophy, much less common cause would be bladder cancer.
