Yes: I assume you mean an uncomplicated miscarriage. Reasons include 1) your HCG level from the miscarriage must fall to zero, 2) you must resume ovulating, and 3) you must re-establish a cyclic endometrium.  I recommend waiting 1 full cycle after an uncomplicated miscarriage and confirming the HCG has fallen. Many doctors recommend a longer wait, but it seems arbitrary to me after 1 cycle.

Next month: It is possible to get pregnant the very first month after the miscarriage.  However, it is better to wait for at least one normal period to  get pregnant.

Good Question: The answer is, no.  You do not have to wait.  Having said that, most women feel comfortable waiting at least one cycle before trying again.  But, if you were to get pregnant right away, the data states that there is no increased risk to the pregnancy if happens right after a D&amp;C, that you put the pregnancy at any risk. Wait for next period: Usually it's a good idea to wait until you've had a normal period.  Part of the reason is that your next period after a miscarriage is often late, and waiting reduces the frustration of wondering if you're pregnant again.  It also gives your body a chance to get completely back to normal before getting pregnant again.

At least 2 months: It has been my experience that women have fewer problems if they let their body heal and cycle at least once before trying to conceive again. Stay on your prenatal vitamin as the Folic Acid is important in helping prevent another miscarriage and by all means see your provider if you are having any difficulties. Good luck!
