See details: There is no natural cure. In avn the blood supply to the head of the hip has been compromised to the extent that the bone has died and collapsed. If it reaches that stage replacing the femoral head is the only option. Early stage avn can be treated by non-weight bearing or core depression. The replacement should last 20+ years depending on your weight, activities, etc.

Not common: Usually avn of any joint is due 2 oral steroids or im injections on a long term basis, also etoh abuse. The intra articular injections repeatedly into a joint cause permanent damage 2 the articular cartilage of the joint.

In order to deliver the cells that are responsible there needs to be adequate blood flow. If the blood flow is disrupted significantly, the affected areas can undergo avascular necrosis (avn). Avn can lead to collapse of the area and arthritis if it occurs near joints.
