Meth drug testing: Methamphetamine (MA) is one of the most commonly used illicit drugs in pregnancy. Urine drug testing may detect it 5-7 days after the last use.
MA use during pregnancy is associated with shorter gestational ages and lower birth weight, especially if used continuously during pregnancy. Stopping MA use at any time during pregnancy improves birth outcomes

i just found out that i'm pregnant and i'm already at 8 months. since i found out i'm pregnant i have stopped using meth but prior to knowing this i was smoking it. will it show up in my baby at the time of birth if they drug test my newborn?

: Testing for drug exposure is not an automatic part of the evaluation at delivery. That said, if I have reason to suspect it, state law may require testing. If I look, I can find evidence of drug exposure in a newborn as far back as the 12th week of pregnancy.

: With the results indicated in your question, have the lab tests repeated , as lab errors are common.  If the test is still positive for methamphetamine, some source in diet or other medications may be the cause.

Some basics: When you test for drugs in a newborn there are samples you can get that will reveal ANY drug exposure, sometimes as far back as 12 weeks gestation. These exposures do not clear over time but remain a record of exposure. If it finds it, there was exposure. The mother with her active metabolism may discard past evidence of exposures &amp; only reveal drugs within the last week to month.

Drug screening: not every newborn would be screened for the drugs, only those who condition seems to be affected by it: clinically or inherited, or if there is a maternal history of abuse. urine test is fastest and shows the latest pregnancy drug use, meconium and hair show longer back use in pregnancy, but no exact timing could be given.

i'm o+, my husband is ab+. what's the likelihood of our baby having neonatal anemia? high risk pregnancy w/ maternal anemia and planned c-section cutting through anterior placenta previa.

Not likely: Even with your blood types as they are, this is very unlikely to effect the baby. 
This type of C section is higher risk, but don't worry,I have done it several times and I am sure that your doc will handle it fine if they are prepared.
