i want to stop taking the chronic medication i currently take for depression as i feel this is no longer needed. i have tried just stopping, but get headaches, sweats when i do. what would  be the best way to slowly leave the medication?

Weaned: You have to be weaned from the medication. Easy to do but you should be under the supervision of your doctor. So call the prescribing doctor and tell him what you want to do. Have the doctor direct you and supervise

Hyperhiderosis: You have a condition that causes excessive sweating , the cause of which is unknown. See you doctor and perhaps he cn prescribe drysol for you that may help some.

Maybe: people respond differently to medications. So there is no way to know without switching medications and seeing if the side effects resolve. Many times its not the drug as much as the dose that causes the problem. Maybe your blood pressure or heart rate drops too much on the drug. If you have a home blood pressure cuff thats accurate , checking your BP/HR at the time of your symptoms might help

: Not feasible to comment on your need for ongoing Paxil.  Suggest psychiatrist second opinion at medical school.  Some plan for future management is appropriate

4th day having covid. feeling a little bit better but my cold sweats when i sleep are bad. i take my temperature and it says 99.5. is it good that im sweating? how do i stop this? waking up during the night to switch clothing?

: You may be having fevers with resultant sweats.  When you awake the fever may have subsided so your temp is lower.  Acetaminophen alternating with ibuprofen (as long as you do not have any contraindication) helps prevent the fever spikes

Depends on what you: treat exactly.  There are all kinds of herbal supplements that may help.  I have had success treating with black cohosh and ginko.  You may have to try a few before you get it correct. There are medical hormone replacements but try the other stuff first.

how i can stop night sweats? (i'm too young to be menopausal) i get night sweats almost every night. i think it's a side effect of an antidepressant i take. aside from stopping the drug, is there anything i can do to help with this side effect? thank you.

It : It is very likely that this is a side effect of your current medication and if so then likely the only way it will stop is if you discontinue the medication. I recommend you bring this problem to the attention of the provider prescribing your anti-depressant. If it is deemed likely a side effect, then you can way the risk versus benefits, and if you decide this problem to be unbearable then possibly a new anti-depressant can be initiated. Please note that you should not abruptly stop taking your anti-depressants. You will need the guidance of the prescribing doctor if switching to another medication.
On the other hand you could be dealing with idiopathic hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating, no specific cause)  if this is the case your primary care provider can start you on prescription medications or antiperspirants.
