The effects afterwards usually resolve for most people within 1-3 months, depending on predisposing factors, number of prior concussions, severity, and medical management (including how well you follow the guidelines). In most cases, the more you rest, the more your brain can heal and symptoms will resolve.

Clarity: Concussion is a transient brain injury, and so-called post-concessional symptomatology is unlikely to persist beyond 6 weeks, unless there has be structural injury to brain or development of post-traumatic stress disorder.  Due to your concerns, recommend seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist and get this tested and treated.  A neurologist may be required.
