Yes even not a benzo: Yes but its not a benzo its a carbamate and for some reason it shows up as a benzo on instant 12 pannel drug tests even though its not.  Yes Soma (carisoprodol) metbolizes to Meprobamate (miltown in system.  Miltown shous up as benzo although it is not a benzo--it will show up in urine.

Chest pain, muscular: There are a few things that could be the cause although if it was clearly associated with the lifting then a pulled muscle is a good possibility. If you are having persistent chest pain with any exertion though, or pressure, nausea, tightness or shortness of breath it could be something else. Either way I'd just have urgent care take a quick look and maybe prescribe some physical therapy.

Carisoprodol : Carisoprodol (which also goes by the brand name soma) is a drug that is used to relax muscles.  It is a schedule IV controlled substance because it has the potential to be habit-forming.  After taking carisoprodol, the drug stays in your system for about 24 to 48 hours....But, this is only because it is converted by your liver into another active drug, called meprobamate.  Meprobamate is another schedule IV drug that is rarely used because 1) not much drug is needed to overdose; 2) it is psychologically habit-forming; 3) stopping it can cause severe, life-threatening physical withdrawal, and 4) it can make the sedating effects of other medications, like opioid pain killers, much stronger, potentially leading to death.

The physician-patient relationship is based on trust on both sides.  Deception, such as by hiding the use of certain medications, can seriously harm that relationship and the patient's health.

Soma (carisoprodol) isn't good: Soma is converted into a form of a horse tranquilizer in the body.  I do not personally prescribe it.  Skelaxin, (metaxalone) zanaflex, or Flexeril would be better options for you.
