Rash: Should document in your medical records. If true allergy, cannot have iodine containing contrast ever. Could have anaphylactic reaction. Most are also allergic to shellfish. Might be good idea to keep Epipen. Prednisone tablets would be good as well, would need Rx

10-14 days: A single-dose drug eruption typically lasts from 10 to 14 days - but that's assuming your rash was caused by the ct contrast medium; it could be one of many other things coincidentally occurring at the same time. It would be wise to let a dermatologist examine you to confirm that you indeed have a drug eruption and not something else.

Maybe: Ct contrast agents is usually iodinated and are classifed as either ionic or non-ionic.   Some are more allergy-prone than others. Ct scan contrast is totally different than MRI contrast.  In contrast, MRI contrast agents usually contains chelated gadolinium.  Tell the radiologist about your previous ct scan contract allergic symptoms when getting your mri.

No issues : Assuming you had no issues with he scan or immediately after, it should be fine. No known interaction of Iodinated contrast with alcohol.

Are you sure.: If radio active iodine is used   it is  i-131 which has half life of less than 9days,  then calculate every 9 days half of it will be eliminated in the body with i -131.    Not bad if we did not synthesize  i- 131  imagine if it is  i- 129 which had half life of  15.7 million years.

Probably not: I like to keep an open mind but there is no scientific evidence that contrast used for CT can be used to treat disease.

If you are feeling better after a CT exam, it is likely that you were on your way to getting better before the scan and the improvement continued after the scan to a point that you then noticed it.

Not aware of testing: The risk of an adverse reaction to non ionic IV contrast dye is very low, less than 1 in 100 injections.  Most of the reactions are mild and easily treated.  Severe reactions occur in 1-2 per 10, 000 injections of IV non ionic contrast.

If a person was severely allergic to many different things, perhaps a consultation with an allergist could be obtained.

Xray "dye" & water: Any time u have an imaging study like ct scan where contrast ("dye") is used it is recommended to flush the kidneys with plenty of water for next few days to prevent damage to the kidney filtering system.

Brain Aneurysm: I assume you mean brain aneurysm, in which case the answer is no. A 2cm aneurysm is very large and will be easily detected by contrasted ( or non/contrast) ct scan.  If by chance you are mistaken and mean 2millimeter, not centimeter, it is very easy for a ct to miss.

ive had the ct scan iodine contrast 5 times in the past without a problem. could i develop an anaphylactic reaction this time? im taking propranolol

Allergic reactions: may develop even to medications you have received many times before, but it is highly unlikely. Odds are you will not react to iodine if you have received it several times in the past. Hope this helps!
